Bal Vatika

The NEP 2020 envisions that every child will attend an “early class” or “balvatika” (i.e., before Class 1) by the age of 5, which will have ECCE-qualified teachers. Learning in the early class will primarily focus on play-based education, developing cognitive, emotional, and motivational abilities, as well as early literacy and numeracy skills. Currently, at Kendriya Vidyalaya Kalimpong, we do not have such a facility.
